Christian Marclay - Phonodrum
It's easy to forget how important the contributions of Christian Marclay have been in pushing the boundaries of music. Here, for instance, is Phonodrum from the album Records 1981-1989. It's brazenly noisy, constructing what sounds like an electronic power noise assault from mechanical sound sources. If you're not averse to a bit of difficult listening, this is a magnificent little vignette.
