Julian Cope - All the Blowing-Themselves-Up Motherfuckers
Thanks go out tobagrec for recently pointing out that Black Sheep, the new Julian Cope album is out. A funny bloke, he once spent most of a year without underwear, and wearing the same pair of leather trousers every day. Err, Cope, that is. Now that's rock'n'roll. He also constructed a hidden room in his house, accessible only via a crawlway, and filled it with childrens' toys[1]. That's also rock'n'roll, but in an entirely different way.
Cope's Scalectrix and Subbuteo days seem to be behind him now. But the rock is evidently still in his system. All the Blowing-Themselves-Up Motherfuckers (Will Realise the Minute they Die that they were Suckers) is possessed of an awesome title, and an infectious, Kevin Ayers-like singalong chorus. Frankly, you have to hear this one if only for the name.
