Barry Gray - Parker, Well Done
If the recent Joanna Lumley business has reminded us of anything, it's that if you're a posh woman with a righteous cause, you can get almost anything done. I'm not saying I approve, it just seems to be the way that this country works. Of course, we should have already known this. I'm reminded of what was probably my first crush, Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds. You think kids today have got it bad. In my day we lusted after puppets.

Here she is, accompanied by her iconic chauffeur Parker, in an bizarrely camp musical number from the TV series. Parker, Well Done was written by Barry Gray, who wrote the music for all of Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation TV shows of the 1960s. It's a tonic for the jaded.

Alan was hip. Look at that tie and collar combo!
