Oysterband - Road To Nowhere
What is this? Is it really Road To Nowhere played in the folk rock style? Why, yes it is, and although it could do with more of the traditional fiddling and less of the crowd pleasing rock music instruments, it is no bad thing. Perhaps it is harder to find the pain of nihilism in Oysterband's version of this song, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The bleak futility of existence is not an everyday pleasure, and nor should it be.
Apparently, top superannuated choir Young@Heart also do a version of Road To Nowhere, but I do not have a copy. What a great joke that should be.
