Artpop from North London: microtonal riffs and excessively formal vocals (to juxtapose against the folksy apostrophes and banal lyrics) make the fugue-mad Baby I'm Hurt'n. This is a very arch take on weird, more Flying Lizards than Residents, but seemingly influenced by both. It's the opening track from their self-produced 2005 album Ham. If you're an indie kid who likes hanging out in galleries then you know this already, but you're also very bad at getting the word out, which is why I have to do it.
People! It is all right to listen to The Chap! You can enjoy them too! I do, and I am as fashionable as Warrington.
