Kuupuu - Hiillos

A short interval of strangeness for you. Kuupuu is Jonna Karanka, who plays spookily atmospheric music with disused sound sources. Hiillos sounds as if it's being played on toy instruments and childrens' plastic keyboards. Karanka fills it full of sounds that you never get to hear anywhere else, and manages to wring a real melancholy from her sources. She seems to be a mainstay of the Finnish avant-garde scene, so if you're into dense, close listening, remember the name. This is taken from her 2007 album Unilintu.
