Brigitte Bardot - Saint Tropez
Running late this morning, so just a quickie for you. You may know today's track as the theme music to Channel 4's long running tits and bums show Eurotrash. That's good with me. Any piece of music that makes me of human nether regions and stupid jokes is automatically a winner. Tellingly, it may also be the first piece of music I ever shared withbeaupepys, the woman who would later become my wife. If so, that's even better, because it gives weight to the theory that laughing at each other's rude parts is the key to a successful marriage. That bit keeps on getting left out of the marriage guidance textbooks. It's a conspiracy, I tell you.
So yes, Saint Tropez. Bardot's contribution is limited to singing "la la la" a few times, which is probably for the best. This is a breezy piece of '60s schlock and all the more wonderful for it. Enjoy!
