Hildur Guðnadóttir - Erupting Light

It feels good to get away from all that grease and feel the touch of neoclassical linen, doesn't it? If that makes the Icelandic cellist Hildur Guðnadóttir sound bland or uninteresting, then the fault is mine. There are some emotions that only emerge when set against a cool grey background; the tension and release in Erupting Light need that chilly stillness to properly work. Gentle devastation from the album Without Sinking (2010).
